ABOUT
he 2026 Coastal Pathway Ultra proudly introduces the inaugural 100km event, offering runners an unforgettable journey along one of Tasmania’s most spectacular coastlines.
Starting and finishing in Latrobe, the course takes competitors through the picturesque Don Reserve, alongside the Don River, across the stunning Lillico Straight, and all the way to outskirts of Penguin Main Road, before returning to the finish line. Along the way, participants will experience breathtaking coastal scenery, pristine beaches, and some of North West Tasmania’s most iconic landscapes.
Adding to the prestige of this year’s race, the 100km event has been awarded International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU) Bronze Label status, recognising it as an event that meets internationally recognised standards for course measurement, organisation and competition.
The Coastal Pathway Ultra will continue its rapid rise in 2027, when it hosts the Australian 100km Road Running Championships, bringing many of the nation’s best ultramarathon athletes to Tasmania to compete for national titles.
